Why did you say yes to this campaign? What was your WHY to participate?
Olga had previously photographed our grandchildren over the years and the results were stunning. When I saw some of her portraits from her Eternal Grace campaign I just loved them.
Tell me a little about you and your story:
I am married to Anthony for 44 years. We have 6 wonderful children, five daughters and one son. Over the last ten years we have been blessed with five beautiful grandchildren. I was employed at Baxter Healthcare for thirty five years where I made many lifetime friends. I went on to do Level 5 certificate in professional cookery for one year at Mayo Abbey Training Center which I enjoyed immensely and I will always be grateful to my tutors and team members for being so supportive throughout the course. I went on to work there until 2019 and met a wonderful bunch of people through work colleagues and customers. Very fond memories and friends. I love to travel and go on holiday as often as I can with Anthony and our family. I also love to get away for breaks and nights out with my friends.
What do you see when you look in the mirror?
Laughter lines and plenty of them! Still have my covid stone which I really have to work off.
Describe yourself in 3 words:
Creative. Caring. Strong.
Do you feel like you have changed since turning 60?
Turning 60 has made me appreciate life more and I am thankful that I have a wonderful family and friends that have been there for me through all the ups and downs of life.
What advice would you give to your younger self about caring for yourself?
Learn to love and look after yourself. Stop worrying what others think, life is too short. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.
What do you consider self-love?
To me self-love is taking care of your well-being and happiness. Being with people I love.
What do you love most about your new portraits? Is there something new you discovered about yourself?
My portraits are beautiful, I just love them. I was totally out of my comfort zone and Olga made the experience relaxed and so enjoyable for me.
What was your favourite part of working with me?
I loved how Olga made me feel relaxed and confident and most of all to really enjoy the experience. The help she gave in the weeks beforehand in choosing outfits. Thank you Olga for a wonderful morning and an experience of a lifetime. I will forever treasure my portraits.
