Age:

Occupation:

Director of our sign company, which has been in operation for over 39 years

Why did you say yes to this campaign? What was your WHY to participate?

A friend of mine got it done recently and I was blown away at how beautiful the portraits turned out, so I said to myself, do this for you.

Tell me a little about you and your story:

I’m a married 54 year old, I have 4 children, Dwane 33, Lee 24, Sheena 22 and Hollie 18. I also have two beautiful grandchildren Caoimhe who is 4 and Jordan Michael who is 1. They live in Canada, but we get to see them a lot. I live in Roscommon, where myself and my husband Fintan run our Sign company. I work full-time, I love exercise, music and my friends are so important to me, I’m involved in lots of community committees. I had a heart dissection almost 10 years ago, I really am very lucky to be alive, so I think I appreciate life to the full since my illness. Life is truly precious, and I’m proud of all I have achieved.

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

A strong proud person

Describe yourself in 3 words:

Strong, Determined and Caring

Do you feel like you have changed since turning 50?

Not really, I just appreciate everything a lot more.

What are the most rewarding things about getting older?

Actually just getting old is enough reward for me, so many people are sick and passing away at such a young age… so healthy and happy is definitely the reward.

What has been the best life lesson you have learned along the way?

Live your life to the full, have no regrets, as their is no repeat runs.

What advice would you give to your younger self about caring for yourself?

Not to be so critical and hard on myself.

What is your favourite quote?

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta pick up the rain” – Dolly Parton

What do you love most about your new portraits? Is there something new you discovered about yourself?

I loved the fact that I was so lucky to be healthy, happy and still beautiful enough in my eyes to still sit in front of the camera. I have discovered that you are only as beautiful as you believe you are, my new portraits shone inner beauty to me.

What was your favourite part of working with me?

Working with Olga was such a wonderful experience, she made it fun and relaxed. The attention she gave to every shot she took of me, made me feel like a real model, that was a special experience, I highly recommend it to every woman, to go and treat themselves and enjoy this wonderful experience, we spend so much time minding everybody and everything, this is a very special me-time moment. Thanks Olga
